Information on DuPont Acquisition of Granular

As you may be aware, DuPont acquired ag software company Granular on August 31, 2017. Granular, a San Francisco-based company, is a leading provider of agriculture software and analytics tools that help growers operate more efficiently and profitably. Granular also operates AcreValue.com, the top digital marketplace for farmland.

We have received questions regarding the recent acquisition of Granular and wanted to provide clarity as to what this means to you, our valued customers. By combining Granular’s leading farm management technology and digital expertise with MapShots AgStudio® best in class agronomy software solutions for growers, consultants and retail, we will be better able to provide the ag community with progressive solutions to manage their entire business or retail location.

Customers can continue to utilize the full suite of MapShots AgStudio services. We will continue to look for opportunities to integrate MapShots, Encirca® services and Granular solutions to provide the most reliable, dependable, easy to use software in the digital ag marketplace. Our goal is to align our product offerings across MapShots, Encirca services and Granular to provide the most impact and innovation for you, the grower, consultant or retailer.

The acquisition represents an important step in our work to shape and drive the ag tech market. Sid Gorham, Granular’s co-founder and CEO, will continue to lead Granular and will also lead Digital Agriculture for DuPont, which includes responsibility for MapShots and Encirca services.

We will keep you informed of new developments as we continue to enhance our offerings to enable more productive, profitable, and sustainable businesses, but please do not hesitate to contact our team with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

The MapShots Team
